Cortocircuito (Short Circuit)

Image
Duration
October 10, 2000 - October 29, 2000
Artists
Patricia Villalobos Eccheverria

Born to Salvadorian parents in Tennessee and raised in Nicaragua and the United States, Patricia Villalobos Eccheverria responds in her work to trans-cultural issues and the nature of identity in an age of global economics. Cortocircuito: Short Circuit was based in the language of print media but pushed its boundaries to include video and sound. In addition to questioning the formal aspects of art, the work addresses issues of identity, geography, language, and sexuality.
