Termite TV: Living Documentaries

In August 1999 Termite TV Collective video artists Anula Shetty, Carl Lee, Michael Kuetemeyer and Dorothea Braemer began a four month journey in an old school bus across the United States, launching the Living Documentary Project. Along the way they recorded impressions of places, and over one hundred individuals telling their life stories in five minute segments. These living documentaries, which were edited on the road, were on display in a multi-monitor video installation, while a retrospective featured the Termite TV series This is Only a Test, produced between 1992 and 1999.
